A Foetus In The Matrix Of Space Awaken to the sound of morning rain It hasn’t been that long since summer came Afternoon brings sunlight to the hills And bird song to the forest and the fields She took an apple from the shadow of her hair Up into the thick of mountain mist Where the waters fresh fissure from the rocks To top the lofty breast of mother earth And feed upon the womb that gave you birth She took a shadow from the apple of her hair .

Flower Child 03:48
Flower Child Flower child, sometimes you smile, Sometimes your tears catch the sunlight in your eyes. The scent of flowers, you like to breath, But empty sadness in your heart is all you feel. When the sun is drying up the rain, You sit in the fields making daisy chains Flower child In the woods you like to play, Running in and out of the sunlight’s golden rays. Like the wind through the trees, You glide across the meadow with a gentle summer breeze. Look to the sky, float to a dream. Dancing in the water, washing in the stream. Flower child. .

Strange Colour Strange colour flows through my head Weird music comes from my bed Soft lighting fills the room The carpet crawls up and tries to sing a tune I’m being watched by a man in my TV There’s a large spot growing in the middle of my knee I see a nest of spiders hidden behind the door All the police are after me for breaking all the laws .

Helioscope 06:23
Helioscope Fingers to the grass and eyesight to the wind Where does each breath end and where does the next one begin Everything is really one thing and that is the thing we never see Moving through the flow in shadows of matter we perceive The colours of the earth, their beauty is born from the sun The day illuminates, but the sunlight hides the stars from our sight .

The Coming Of Spring When she walks upon the wind Rainbows catch upon her hair When I see her waiting hands Reaching out I know she cares I’ll be thinking of you She’s come to take me from this land To meet the children of the east Breathing love into my lungs Then she sets our spirits free I’ll be thinking of you When the waters start to break In the silence of a dream I see the seasons in her eyes Soon the winter will be gone The spring, new life will bring I’ll be thinking of you .

The Six Directions Of Space He is the unborn child, he rides the stead of thought like lightening through the mist he feeds upon the sweat. Upon the sweat of space, upon his mothers waste. He is the son of sons, he is the breath of breaths. He is devoid of heat, beyond all light and sound His mother is his wife, he is is daughter’s child. He is the world made flesh, the solar energy The formless universe, there stand the sons of light. The seven worlds of being hang on the seven rays And then the mind born child puts wings upon the wheels On the day of “be with us”, you may pass the “ring not pass” And merge into the one, Para-Nirvana waits. .

about

This was our first attempt at recording ourselves.
We used a little Yamaha MT100 4-Track Cassette Recorder, and maybe three budget dynamic microphones... for everything, including vocals.

Most of the recording was done in a little room at the back of St Peter's Church Hall, in Tile Cross, B'ham.
I remember the vicar coming to visit us one evening to explain to us that, "Christians can have fun too you know". He was right of course, but at the time we were so wrapped up with nailing guide tracks and drum takes, that we couldn't think about anything else.
We didn't have a clue what we were doing, but that was half the fun.

Maybe some of the playing (and tuning) is shocking, and apologies for the distortion and warbling on the tape. It was knackered.

If these tracks hadn't been copied from the original 'Maxell C-60' cassette tape (which we used to copy all the other tapes that we sold at gigs), it might have simply given up at the sight of one more cassette player. It really didn't have much longer left to live.

We've only added this for a bit of fun and the memories, hope you enjoy.
